Octoboy
by Ross McGachey

It was a nice underwater day for Octoboy, for all the sea water creatures were playing [or rather swimming] in the reef. There were a few humans snorkelling in the water but that was fine with everyone. Octoboy was at his friend's place in the shallows of the sea where it was less dark and dank, where it was more peaceful than in his own house, and also the only possible place to sun bathe. The stay was almost over and Octoboy's parents would be there soon so the two kids were talking and sunbathing their heads off.

Let me tell you how Octoboy came to being, you see, Octoboy was a professor like any other working for 'fountain of youth inc.' and he and his mates had just broken through one of Earths greatest puzzles so they handed everything over to a different company who could make and sell their stuff in other words the scientist would be out of business. The professor was allowed to take a bottle of the stuff and leave so he did as he was told and left. Next week he took his family for an educational trip on an oil tanker to have a look around but the mum didn't have time to go because of work and the kids didn't like boats ["and your always education, education, education" they said] so he went alone with his youth potion and got there. When they were far out at sea the sailors [as you will now find out are actually modern pirates] scuttled the ship without warning just as our friend was taking a sip of the mix to give the sailors a bit of a surprise and a laugh but the ship gave a sudden lurch the scientist spewed his mix into the sea, dropped his bottle [accidentally of course] and ran for the life boats.

When he got down to the water safely, the oil was mixed with the potion in the water a very lethal mix, and before he knew what was happening the pirates chucked him to the new mixture and this is where it happens.
An octopus came near to the surface at the same time, got sucked up to the surface and drawn to the fast to the already younger professor, when they touched, a bright flash came the pirates were flung out of the boat and then drowned and then the human/octopus in child form had finished its mutation, the sea was rid of the evil mix and Octoboy settled in the depths.

Whoops here they are! Octo's parents are here, it's good to hear that they're staying for coffee but I really have to go. Seeya!
